How the job runs
Walkthrough and measure
We look at the existing surface, check drainage and base conditions, and measure the pour area.
Tear-out and base prep
Old concrete is saw-cut, broken out, and hauled off. The base is compacted and graded to move water away from the house.
Form, pour, and finish
Forms go in, the pour is placed and finished to the surface you picked, and control joints are cut.
Cure and final walkthrough
We review curing timing with you, then walk the finished surface together before we call the job done.
What affects the price
Concrete pricing depends on square footage, tear-out and haul-off, base condition, access, and finish. Portland metro rain shapes the pour schedule, so we book around weather windows instead of promising dates we cannot keep. Every job gets a written estimate with the full scope and price before work is scheduled.

Common questions
How long before I can drive on new concrete?
Plan on at least seven days before parking a passenger vehicle on a new driveway, and about 28 days for the concrete to reach full strength. Walking on it is usually fine after one to two days. We confirm exact timing for your pour before we leave.
Can you tear out my old driveway or patio?
Yes. Tear-out and haul-off are part of the job. We saw-cut and remove the failed concrete, rebuild and compact the base, then pour the new surface. Your written estimate covers the whole sequence as one price.
What finishes can I choose from?
Most driveways and sidewalks get a broom finish for traction in the rain. Patios can be broom, smooth trowel, or exposed aggregate. We show you the options at the walkthrough and price each one in the written estimate.
Do you pour concrete year-round in Portland?
We pour most of the year and schedule around heavy rain and freezing nights, the two conditions that damage fresh concrete. Winter pours are possible inside a dry weather window. Your estimate comes with a realistic schedule.
